FRIENDS

__ HOW WE STARTED

I have lived with dogs all my life. The first dogs I met were my parents Cocker Spaniels and later when I met our dutch friends with their yellow Labrador Goldie, I became a devoted fan of this breed. Their unique serenity around children and their boundless friendliness torwards people impressed me. From the first time I met her, I decided that one day I would have my own Goldie.

The strong impression Goldie left on my parents was a determining factor in their choice of their next dog, a female black Labrador. Although this dog came from an amateur breeder, my parents were lucky, as this bitch was the result of a pairing of two FCI dogs, both direct Sandylands descendants. Jana lived to the age of 14 and greatly influenced our appreciation of line breeding.

In our search for a successor to Jana we met Marianne and Marcel of REAGIS Kennels in the Netherlands, with whom we have become good friends. At our first visit at REAGIS Kennels we immediately fell in Love with Reagis Ken, a wonderful dog out of a mating with Jayncourt and Sanylands lines. He was a delightful clown and immediately charmed our etire family with his unique personality. At that time, even though my career responsibilities precluded the ownership of a dog, I spent much time as I could with Kenni. He left a very strong impression on me, although his subbornness was often extremely frustrating. He was, however, a wonderful teacher.

Through keeping in close contact with his breeder I also got to know Kenni's father, Leffi, alias Jayncourt Yesterday's Man. I was so thrilled with this wonderful dog that I determined that once I was able to have my own dog, I would only settle for one of his descendants. Finally, in 2004, Elly and Kees at FAIR-COURT Kennls informed me, that they had a bitch by Leffi for me: FAIR-COURT Yesterday's Sparkle alias Brenn, my current breeding bitch.

Through constant contact and support from REAGIS and FAIR-COURT Kennels, my life's dream in breeding dogs so has grown and become reality. My enthusiasm for the Jayncourt line is so strong that I determined that my goal in breeding would be the preservation of this classical English type.

One year later I realized another dream in the form of a chocolate Labrador: Kaya, FAIR-COURT Expresso Break, our "Coffe copje". We are happy to report that Kaya also fullfills the requirements of the standard and breeding permission. She gave us some beautiful offsprings.
